Where did your love of comedy originate?
I watched a lot of cartoons growing up and have always wanted to make people laugh.
What made you want to pursue comedy as a vocation as opposed to something that’s just a hobby?
I didn’t mean to at all. I was doing this and then realised that I forgot to get any other qualifications and couldn’t do anything else.
Why did you choose AGT as your platform to showcase your art?
It was a chance to reach a global audience and showcase that there are people out there who want to see silent comedy.

Having made it through the first two rounds, what are you most excited about for the live shows?
The Dolby theatre is amazing. The fact that it’s also live means that it will happen super fast and then I can get back to the hotel as the bed is beyond amazing. I mean really comfortable.
How do you keep things interesting in your act? How do you stay inspired?
I like to use other people in my act so it’s really fun for me to see how they respond. Also a correct placement of Tiger balm helps. That stuff will keep Chess interesting.
Beyond AGT, what’s next for you?
I told you about the hotel bed yeah?
