Approved Image edited 2 - NOT THE MESSIAHBruce Jimenez, a 16-year-old student at Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in New York City hopes to, one day, end up performing on a Broadway stage. But this week, he’s getting the chance of a lifetime, performing with The Collegiate Chorale in Eric Idle’s “Not the Messiah (He’s a Very Naughty Boy.)”

Featuring Broadway performers including Victoria Clark, Marc Kudisch, Lauren Worsham, and William Ferguson, as well as Idle himself, the musical based on the cult classic film, “The Life of Brian,” promises to be an evening to remember.

The magnitude of the performance isn’t lost on Jimenez.

“This is such a world renowned theatre. It’s so massive,” he said. “It’s so rewarding to be on that stage. I’ve performed at Carnegie Hall once before and I’m so thankful to have the experience again.”

So what does he think about the music by the man who brought Monty Python to Broadway in Spamalot?

“The music is very interesting. The writers definitely had a fun time writing it. I’m used to arias and operas but this is a spicy twist on that. It’s a lot of fun.”
